Breathe Hawke’s Bay Centre Report
Meri Kirihimete – Merry Christmas
I can’t believe we are at the end of another year. So much has happened in our organisation along with a few changes.
Midway through the year we said goodbye to Chris and welcomed Amber into our team. We recently saw the departure of Toni and have welcomed Sharyn to the BHB team as our permanent administrator.
Even though the Mitre 10 Tough Kid event was very wet and eventually rained out it continues to be a highlight for the team and board members who attend. Again we were fortune to receive $5583.00
Over the past 12-months we have continued to develop a paediatric proposal with key personnel at the DHB and were privileged to be involved in a winter contract with Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga and Plunket to support under 4-year-olds and their whānau who were identified as ‘most at risk’ of long term respiratory conditions.
Balloon Day was another success.
A big thanks once again to our trustee Michelle for organising and coordinating the day. Funds raised stay local, and are earmarked for our exercise subsidies. Over the month of Breathe Better September we raised just over $3,000.
Jo and Debbie both work tirelessly for BHB and are valued team members. I have really appreciated their support and hard work over the later period of this year. You guys are what makes keeps BHB running like a well oiled machine.
I also want to mention Paula, who has been our temporary administrator over the past 3-months. Her previous work experience has been an asset to our organisation. Thank you for stepping into the role and giving it your all.
Happy holidays everyone. I am looking forward to seeing you all at some stage over 2019.
