How does AFSC work?

There are two parts to the programme;

  1. Free education session – approximately 30 minutes at a time convenient to the Club.

         Covered during this session:

  • What happens to the airways in asthma (anatomy and physiology)
  • Asthma signs and symptoms
  • Asthma triggers
  • Asthma First Aid
  1. Pracitical resource pack provided
  • Resource book containing information matching education session

Ellery Wilson - Hawke's Bay Magpie

“ Don’t let your respiratory condition hold you back! “

That’s the word from Hawke’s Bay Magpies half-back Ellery Wilson. Being asthmatic hasn’t let his condition stop him achieving his goals.

He’s played representative rugby league, was a top swimmer in his youth and featured in the ITM rugby competition for Hawke’s Bay since 2014.
